Ignored Stories

The Truth Behind Climate Policy Development

As Governor Teddy has demonstrated before, he is very willing to destroy Oregon's economy to try to control something we can't control, and he is willing to try to silence those who dare to disagree with him. But another question is, where does the funding come from? If a conservative dares to speak out against the GW hype, he is immediately accused of being on the payroll of Big Oil. But what about the other side? Where does the funding and information come from for the draconian policies that liberals want to force on us?

Ignored Stories - Global Warming On Neptune Not Caused By Humans

It is time again to comment on the desire of the Fish Wrapper's - and liberals in general - to not let the facts get in the way of the story. This tendency is always on display when it comes to the topic of global warming, because the GW crowd doesn't like to let the facts about what causes our rising temperatures interfere with the doom and gloom of human caused warming.

One fact in particular that is ignored on a regular basis is the very distinct correlation between solar activity and temperature. It has already been demonstrated that Mars is warming (and there are no humans there to cause it), and now comes Neptune. In a paper published in Geophysical Research Letters (h/t World Climate Report), two astronomers demonstrate that not only is it warming, but it is shown that there is a direct link between solar activity and temperature on not only Neptune, but also Earth.

Ignored Stories - Even Liberals Realize the Hoax of Global Warming

Here's another article you would never see in the Daily Dead Fish Wrapper. Even the liberals are seeing through all of the global warming hype and Al Gore's lies.

In an article entitled "Who are the Merchants of Fear?" Alexander Cockburn of the left wing newsletter CounterPunch takes the Goracle to task for his hyping global warming for financial and political gain.

No response is more predictable than the reflexive squawk of the Greenhouse fearmongers that anyone questioning their claims is in the pay of the energy companies.

Story You'll Never See In The Dead Fish Wrapper - Why We Should Stay And Fight In Iraq

For those liberals and cowards (such as Harry Reid and the editors of the Daily Dead Fish Wrapper) who keep insisting that we are losing in Iraq and should pull out immediately, here is a letter written by Mohammed Fadhil, a dentist in Baghdad and published in the New York Daily News (hat tip to Michelle Malkin):

Be Our Guest

I wasn't surprised when I saw Al Qaeda's second-in-command, Ayman al-Zawahiri, appear on Al Jazeera to announce America's defeat last week, not long after U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid did. Zawahiri claims Al Qaeda has won, and Reid claims America has lost.

Studies In Liberal Bias: Ignore National Day of Prayer, Promote Bogus Carbon Credits

For today's demonstration of the liberal bias served up daily in the Daily Dead Fish Wrapper, we will compare and contrast, and throw in a little ignored stories action, too.

The Truth About Scientific Consensus And Peer Review

One of the main points that the global warming hype crowd (such as just about everyone at the Daily Dead Fish Wrapper - at least those who write about GW) likes to beat to death in their attempts to convince us to ruin our economy is that the science behind the hype is based on consensus. This "consensus" is supposedly among "peer-reviewed" scientists (Sheryl Crow liked to throw that term around quite a bit on her "Stop Global Warming College Tour").

Well, it's time for an education on the truth about peer review. This education is provided in an article written by Robert Higgs, a Senior Fellow in Political Economy for the Independent Institute.

Ignored Story - More Liberal Hypocrisy From Hillary Clinton

Here is yet another story you most definitely won't see in the Daily Dead Fish Wrapper. After Don Imus made his now famous quote about the Rutgers women's basketball team, Hillary-ous jumped on the bandwagon, and sent out a signed e-mail saying that Imus' words "showed a disregard for basic decency and were disrespectful and degrading to African Americans and women everywhere."

However, apparently that outrage only manifests itself when campaign money isn't involved. On March 31st, Hillary-ous attended a fund raiser event for her campaign hosted by Timbaland, a hip-hop producer and performer who is known for his misogynistic lyrics. The hypocrisy was noted by Colbert I. King in the Washington Post.

Ignored Stories - Promising Non-Emryonic Stem Cell News

Welcome to another episode of what I like to call Ignored Stories. Today's story is about one of the sacred cows of liberalism, embryonic stem cell research. As I've documented here and here, the Fish Wrapper continues to tout embryonic stem cell research as the "last, best hope" for people like Michael J. Fox, even though there has yet to be one proven treatment or therapy derived from embryonic stem cells.

In the meantime, there is successful work being done with non-embryonic stem cells, but of course this isn't being reported in the MSM. Why? It shows that the taking of life by harvesting embryos isn't necessary, and since liberals don't value human life, they don't report it.

Ignored Stories - Dianne Feinstein's Lack Of Ethics

It's time once again to add another entry to the category of Ignored Stories. These are very newsworthy stories that the Daily Dead Fish Wrapper chooses not to publish because they would put Democrats (or liberals in general) in a bad light.

Today's entry is about Dianne Feinstien, Democrat (definitely not Democratic) senator from that bastion of liberalism known as California. Back in January, Metroactive published an article exposing a huge ethical conflict of interest Feinstein had in her position on the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee.

Ignoring The Truth About The Failure Of Carbon Credits

In their haste to beat of the anthropogenic global warming drum, the Fish Wrapper editorial board likes to claim that certain ideas will work without bothering to investigate whether or not what they claim is true.

Today's example of this tendency has to do with what is known as carbon credits. In their editorial on an agreement between Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, and New Mexico to "work together to reduce the greenhouse gases linked to global warming," the Fish Wrapper makes the usual inaccurate and unsubstantiated claims that greenhouse gas emissions are the cause of global warming.
