Fish Wrapper Quick To Promote Iraq Surrender Group Attitude

The report of the Iraq Study Group was released this past week (December 6th), and predictably, The Fish Wrapper editors were quick to jump on the bandwagon of the report, while choosing to ignore the consequences of following the recommendations.

I have not read the report in it's entirety yet, but there are two recommendations that have been widely reported that if acted on, would hasten absolute failure faster than anything else.

Waving The False Flag of Global Warming Yet Again

I'm hoping someday, that in the light of true evidence, and not the twisted evidence that people like Al Gore parade around, the MSM will quit hyping global warming as the biggest threat to ever face mankind, especially considering that over the years they have waffled back and forth so much on whether we are headed for a deep freeze or are going to fry to death. However, until then, we can keep expecting articles like today's Dead Fish Wrapper editorial, Shrinking from the heat of global warming.

You Can't Focus On Economy Until You Control Immigration

As is typical with most liberals, the Fish Wrapper editors continue to push the agenda of allowing illegal immigration without doing what is necessary to control it. In today's editorial, Immigration solution must focus on economy, the Fish Wrapper tried to come across is if they are proposing a "thoughful analysis" on immigration reform. Their problem is that they choose to ignore other relevant facts.

To corner immigration in the global economy is to control a huge strategic asset.

No Fences - Let's Just Throw The Borders Wide Open

What is it about liberals - and the Dead Fish Wrapper editors in particular - that they just don't get the word "illegal", as in illegal immigrants? Don't they understand that laws exist for a reason, and that, in the case of immigrants, breaking them means the law breaker should not be allowed to live here until they do obey the law? In another fine editorial today, the editors make the claim that we should not be building a fence along the border to keep illegal immigrants out.

Propagating the Lie That Is Embryonic Stem Cell Research

In one of today's editorials, "Stem cells and the suffering of real people," the Fish Wrapper editorial board attempts to do two things:

  1. Portray Michael J. Fox as a victim of big, bad Rush Limbaugh
  2. Continue to lead people to believe that embryonic stem cell research actually has promise.

First, they go after Limbaugh:

The scrapbook marked "Ugly" from Campaign 2006 is now nearly closed, but one moment stands out as uniquely grotesque. It almost requires an asterisk: No, we aren't making this up. It wasn't a cruel skit on "Monty Python." It really happened. Radio talker Rush Limbaugh really did accuse actor Michael J. Fox of deliberately avoiding his medications to accentuate the symptoms of his Parkinson's disease and thereby extort public sympathy -- and votes.
