Still Promoting Global Warming With Laurie David

Laurie David just won't go away. As I wrote about here and here, Ms. David wrote an op-ed piece in the Washington Post about how the National Science Teachers Association rejected her offer of 50,000 copies of The Inconvenient Lie (aka Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth"). However, as I wrote about in the Fish Wrapper, she forgot to mention the true facts.

Kudos to Fish Wrapper For Publishing Rebuttal to Op-Ed Piece

Today I have to give kudos to the Fish Wrapper and commentary editor Galen Barnett for publishing an "In My Opinion" article that I wrote. It was written in response to the op-ed piece written by Laurie David regarding Al Gore's attempt to donate 50,000 copies of "An Inconvenient Truth" to the National Science Teachers Association (documented here). My piece can be seen here.

In the course of our e-mail exchange regarding the column, Mr Barnett made an interesting comment. He said that if he had known the other side of the story as I described in my piece, he would not have published the original piece by Ms. David in the first place. I appreciate his honesty and willingness to show both sides of the story.

Dead Fish Wrapper Publishes Column With Known Lies and Misstatements

Today, the Dead Fish Wrapper proves once again that it doesn't like to let the facts get in the way of an inflammatory columns with lies and misstatements if it promotes a liberal agenda. Today's example is a column from the Washington Post written by Laurie David (wife of comedian Larry David) entitled Science a la Joe Camel (to which the Fish Wrapper ads its own subtitle of "Deep-pocketed corporate interests are targeting the kids in our classrooms with junk science").

Waving The False Flag of Global Warming Yet Again

I'm hoping someday, that in the light of true evidence, and not the twisted evidence that people like Al Gore parade around, the MSM will quit hyping global warming as the biggest threat to ever face mankind, especially considering that over the years they have waffled back and forth so much on whether we are headed for a deep freeze or are going to fry to death. However, until then, we can keep expecting articles like today's Dead Fish Wrapper editorial, Shrinking from the heat of global warming.

More Profiles In Liberalism

Is it a coincidence that whenever the Fish Wrapper profiles someone, it always seems to be a liberal? Today's profile in liberalism is entitled The activist-minded professor, and is about Jules Boykoff, a political science professor at Pacific University.

According to the article, Boykoff is quite the Renaissance man.

Boykoff, 36, is a political scientist. He is a poet and social activist with an unquenchable curiosity. He played soccer for the University of Portland and professionally, and cheers for the Tottenham Hotspurs. He and brother Max researched media treatment of global warming, helping form the basis for the Al Gore documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth."
